CIB2 is a double-stranded DNA cassette with two random regions (denoted as “N”s in the sequence below). Each of the 22-bp regions is called an internal barcode (IB). For mutants generated with this cassette (those starting with CLIP2 in their IDs), there is a unique IB corresponding to each insertion junction.
